WATCHES & WONDERS 2024: THE KEY NEW PRODUCTS AT REPLICA CARTIER
After focusing on its icons last year, Replica Cartier is placing a major focus on its animal jewelry watches in 2024. But since it is not our cup of tea, and aimed at a very exclusive female audience, we have prefer to talk to you about the pieces that speak to us. Here are 5 news items that you shouldn’t miss during Watches & Wonders!
Cartier Privé Tortue Monopusher
With the Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir, the French house reintroduces an iconic watch with a touch of modernity. Available in 18-karat yellow gold or platinum and with an option set with precious stones, this new model with an opaline silver dial displays a more filigree elegance compared to its predecessor from the 2000s, notably dimensions of 43.7mm in length by 34.8mm in width, as well as a thickness contained at 10.2mm. The transparent back reveals a manual-winding mechanical movement with chronograph complication, echoing the 045MC caliber previously used. Each model is however limited to 200 pieces.
Cartier Privé Tortue
Second rebirth, the two-hand Cartier Privé Tortue remains faithful to the original essence of this icon. Offered in 18-karat yellow gold with a finely grained gold-tone dial and a crown set with a sapphire cabochon, this watch reflects the classic elegance of Cartier with a more modern allure. Also available in platinum, it offers an option set with precious stones for an extra touch of sparkle. With slightly smaller dimensions than the Monopusher version, this model measures 41.4mm in length by 32.9mm in width, then displays a very thin thickness of 7.2mm. The whole thing houses a hand-wound movement, caliber 430 MC, offering a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and clocked at 3Hz. These are also limited pieces, i.e. 200 pieces except for the set version only available in 50 pieces.
Cartier Santos-Dumont Rewind
Among the new 2024 products, the Cartier Santos-Dumont Rewind stands out for its originality. Featuring a platinum case, this watch features a red carnelian dial and a crown set with a ruby cabochon. Its inverted mechanism, where the hands and Roman numerals move backwards, introduces a rather unexpected touch of fantasy for a house like Cartier. This piece is (unfortunately) limited to 200 copies and offers a fun look at the measurement of time.
Cartier Santos Dual Time
For the first time in several years, Cartier is enriching its men’s collection with a new “small complication”. The Santos de Cartier Dual Time is a watch integrating a dual time zone module on Cartier’s in-house movement to satisfy its most traveling customers. With its steel case, charcoal gray dial and easily adjustable Santos bracelet, this Dual Time version offers improved readability and utility for indicating two time zones in 12-hour format.
Cartier Santos-Dumont
Let’s finish with a colorful trio enriching the Santos-Dumont collection. These three new creations feature a colored lacquer dial housed in a matching case in platinum, rose gold and yellow gold. The platinum version features an olive green lacquer, the rose gold pairs with a peacock blue, and the yellow gold pairs with a taupe gray. Each watch, powered by Cartier’s 430 MC caliber (Piaget 430 P base), displays Arabic numerals in harmony with the color of the case. These pieces come mounted on alligator straps and are all waterproof up to 30 meters; they are city watches after all!
