Replica IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG i AMG Petronas

Two models dedicated to Mercedes join the collection of sports chronographs from Replica IWC Schaffhausen. They are made of modern materials and distinguished by a “racing” ceramic bezel insert.

The new watches are based on the Pilot’s Chrono 41 model already available in the collection, so they have cases measuring 41.1 mm in diameter, 14.8 mm in thickness and a WR of 100 m. In this more “civilian” AMG version, the case, buttons and the crown of the watch are made of light titanium (grade 5). The AMG Petronas Formula 1 version uses the Ceratanium composite, a black mixture of titanium and ceramics.

In both options, a new design element immediately catches the eye – a ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale. The insert is shiny black and has an engraved scale, filled with white paint. Certainly, with this simple detail, IWC emphasized the “automotive” nature of the watch and effectively distinguished it from typical chronographs from the Pilot’s line. However, the dial has remained unchanged: black, legible, with a lot of luminous material, large Arabic indices, three dials (with slightly raised rims) and a double date window.

Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 is powered by the in-house automatic caliber 69385. The mechanism has a 46-hour power reserve, a balance clocked at 4 Hz and a column wheel that improves the smoothness of the stopwatch. The mechanism is visible through a partially transparent cover, decorated with the AMG logo.

Availability and price

Both the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG and AMG-Petronas F1 models will be available in two options. The first is a comfortable rubber strap with a traditional buckle. The second is a bracelet, made of the same material as the case. Watch prices start from PLN 48,800 for a titanium model with rubber and reach as much as PLN 100,000 for a full Ceratanium version.
