Another difference is the high quality of the numbers and indices. While these are only printed on normal pilot chronographs, the numbers and indices on performance chronographs, which are provided with plenty of luminous material, are now applied and set in high-quality metal.

While, as described, a lot of design work went into launching this new motorsport-driven sub-line with a tachymeter scale, important technical achievements of the watch remained unchanged. The anti-reflective, slightly curved sapphire crystal above the dial and the screw-down sapphire crystal base are also robust and scratch-resistant.
