Novità Replica Vacheron Constantin 2024 a Watches and Wonders
Introduction
The Replica Vacheron Constantin 2024 novelties focus on the Patrimony collection and on a new haute horlogerie complicated, in the pre-opening phase of Watches and Wonders. The Patrimony collection reaches its first twenty years of age this year; Furthermore, the manufacture presents a new Tourbillon belonging to the Traditionnelle collection and the exclusive Excellence Platine line.
The first twenty years of Patrimony
Presented in 2004, the first example of the collection draws inspiration from a 1957 reference. Since its debut, the collection has evolved aesthetically and grown in complications, adopting, for example, more pronounced lugs while remaining faithful to a classic watch scheme recognizable by the prominent mirror-polished bezel, the curved dial, the thin baton and arrow indices plus the inevitable Maltese Cross placed above the logo in all variations of the collection.
The new manual winding Patrimony
What was perhaps missing from the collection was a manually wound model measuring below the psychological threshold of 40 mm and this is what Vacheron Constantin marketing thought of, introducing this golden measurement within the two-hand proposal.
Vacheron Constantin thus adds two new extremely valuable models as they are only available with a white or rose gold case, associated in both cases with an antique silver dial with a sunray finish and an unexpected olive green alligator strap.
The caseback is closed, allowing customization for customers who wish to use it, an option as interesting as it is binding judging by the beauty of the manual caliber whose thickness guarantees a case thickness of just 7.7 mm.
The caliber 1440
Inside the case of the new Patrimony beats the 1440 movement, just 2.6 mm thick. It is a 4 Hz with 42 hours of autonomy on a full charge whose architecture and finishes are worthy of a movement awarded the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva.
Patrimony Moon Phases and Retrograde Date
This model is a welcome addition to the collection’s product portfolio. The arrangement of the retrograde date at the top of the dial and the moon phases at six o’clock make this Patrimony immediately recognisable.
Also in this version, the dial uses the same soleil finish on an antique silver base and the pleasant combination of baton indexes and arrow indexes, interspersed with rose gold pearls as in the case of the two manually wound models.
The case is understandably larger, stopping at 42.5 mm in diameter, and is available in white gold. This Patrimony is the alter ego, among the complicated ones, of the manual winding model of the same material described previously.
We therefore also find in this variant the same olive green alligator leather strap, while the technical architecture changes and relies on the automatic caliber 2460 R13L which houses a moon phase that requires a correction every 122 years.
The case back is in this case made of sapphire crystal and therefore allows you to admire the finely decorated gold oscillating weight, with the Maltese cross visible. This movement also complies with the watchmaking standards dictated by the Hallmark of Geneva and allows the case thickness to be limited to 9.7 mm. There are 40 hours of autonomy on a full charge in this case.
The Traditionnelle Tourbillon Excellence Platine Chronograph
There is no edition of Watches and Wonders without one or more Vacheron Constantins of the highest watchmaking. The latest creation, belonging to the Excellence Platine collection, is a perfect example of this.
There are fifty examples of a new reference which houses the 3200 caliber presented in 2015 on the occasion of the 260th anniversary of the oldest manufacture in the world in a 42.5 mm and 11.7 mm thick platinum case.
The combination of the degree of complication and the overall size of the caliber, whose thickness stops at 6.7 mm, is technically sublime and the level of finishing is equally excellent. Obviously, it complies with the requirements of the Geneva Hallmark.
The caliber 3200
Manually wound and with 65 hours of autonomy when fully wound, the movement combines a Tourbillon, located at twelve o’clock, and a monopusher chronograph whose 46-minute totalizer is located at three o’clock while the power reserve is located in a register dedicated place at six o’clock.
The caliber 3200 is inserted in an assembly in which not only the case and crown but the dial, deployant buckle and even the stitching on the blue strap are in platinum.
The specifications require a dedicated chapter of which we try to summarize the main ones together with the decorations; it is an integrated caliber in which the main plate is skeletonized to offer the tourbillon the right visibility on the dial, while the graduation at 1/5 of a second suggests an operating frequency of 2.5 Hz.
The chronograph starting system is particularly carefully designed: it does not activate unless a precise minimum pressure is exerted on the button, thus avoiding involuntary activation of the central hand. To achieve this result, the maximum guaranteed clearance between the gear teeth is no more than 30 microns. The chronograph is reset using two hammers instead of one.
It is a caliber designed to offer the best user experience as well as exemplary finishes, which include polishing processes even on the moving parts and in contact with each other. An authentic masterpiece for authentic collectors.
